Common questions
- How does it work?
- Each day Otherwise sends you one gentle nudge at a random time inside a window you choose. Open the app to reveal the day's quote, sit with it, and share it as a card if it moves you.
- I'm not getting my daily reminder.
- Make sure notifications are switched on for Otherwise — on iPhone in Settings → Notifications → Otherwise, on Android in Settings → Apps → Otherwise → Notifications — and that your chosen time window isn't in the past for today. Opening the app refreshes the schedule.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There's no sign-up and no login — the app works entirely on your device.
- What about my privacy?
- Otherwise has no servers and collects no personal data. Nothing you do in the app leaves your phone. Read our full privacy policy.
- How do I choose my reminder time?
- Open Otherwise, go to Settings, and set the daily window you'd like your nudge to arrive within.
